“. . . faithful in prayer.”

“Be joyful in hope

, patient in affliction,

faithful in prayer.”

Romans 12:12 (NIV)

We have a practice available to use when we need the Lord’s guidance and comfort. We can pray to the Father. Taking our concerns to Jesus allows Him to work on our need. Scripturally, He tells us to go to Him and to yoke ourselves to Him.

Paul tells us to “pray without ceasing”. (Script. Ref.)

Someone once sent me an e-mail forward that talked about P.U.S.H. meaning pray until something happens. This is a good idea. Some things we include in our prayers seem to get resolved very quickly. Others take a lot of time, years even.

I like the King James Version of the word patient. He used the word ‘long-suffering’. I get a mental picture each time I think about the phrase.

  1. Hi Quiet Spirit -

Thanks for the encouragement. I always think of the scripture that says not to be weary in well doing, for in due season we'll reap if we faint not.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  2. This means so much to me. I do pray all day, although it's more of a conversation than a traditional prayer. How blessed I am!
