Book Review: 31 Days of Mountaintop Miracles

One Woman’s Legacy of Unconditional Obedience                          Product Details

By Susie Y. Jennings with Allison Bottke

Susie Yanson grew up in the Philippines. Her mother was always feeding and clothing the hungry homeless people in their kitchen. Susie didn’t care to do this; in fact, she vowed never to do this when she grew up. She went to nursing school. She eventually came to the United States to work at Baylor University Medical Center.

She went through the tragic loss of her husband in 1993. She lost a neighbor five months later. That October, she obeyed God’s direction and saw many people living under a bridge.

What she saw that day and what God told her to do—“God down there in person.” spawned a ministry to the homeless that has grown from just Dallas Texas to include India, Africa, Taiwan, China, Cambodia, Jordan, Indonesia, and Israel.

Operation Care has grown from a local ministry to an international outreach organization because of prayer and the obedience of this lady who saw a need and filled it. There were times that a need seemed insurmountable but every time Susie Jennings took it to the Lord. God met her needs for this ministry in remarkable ways and in very quick time.

I find this book enlightening. In order for each of us to grow in the LORD, we need to learn to be aware of what God wants from us and then put that into practice.

I would recommend this book to anyone who struggles with walking with God, and to people who have a desire to serve Him wholeheartedly in any ministry He places them.

I received a free copy of this book from the author via The Book Club Network. All I was asked to do was give an unbiased review.
