Thank You, God, for our Children

Thank You for our children, they are Your gifts to us. They come to us so small and helpless. We provide nourishment and care for them and watch them grow. When they are sick, You are there beside us as we nurse them to health. We all have those memories of what they said or did that brought smiles to our faces. We hope their cute deeds also brought a smile to Your face. Their achievements, first word, first step, first tooth, all go into their baby books.

Please guide them as they mature and try to make their way in this world. Instruct them if they head for danger. Keep them from making mistakes that will change their lives forever. We see that more and more as we walk through this world. Please keep them safe.

Thank You, God, for our Friends

We thank you for our friends near and far. Whether our friends live across the street or across the nation, we remember them fondly especially during this time of year.

We thank you for in life and online friends. For those friends we see every week, we give thanks that we can help each other as need be. For those we only know online, we remember them and ask Your provision for them.

We thank you for those who have gone to be with You. Each year we have friends and family leave this earth and go to live in the home you have constructed for them. We miss them but we know they are no longer burdened by illness or injury or hurts. We remember them during this season of Thanksgiving.

Thank You, God, for Our Families

We thank You God for establishing Your people into family units. You started this process at the beginning of the Old Testament with Adam and Eve. Help us as we try to care for those who are young and the elderly. Please forgive us when we neglect our duties to them. We thank You for parents who taught us how to act in front of people and how to treat others. We also recognize how precious are those who act in place of parents. Our families taught us the work ethic. They also taught us to respect our neighbors. We especially thank You for those who bring their children up in the Lord.
