Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first
heaven and the first earth had passed away and the sea was no more. Revelation 21:1 (ESV)
John the Revelator sees
the aftermath of the judgment before the white throne that includes Death and
Hades being thrown into the Lake of Fire (this being the second death.)
He sees a new heaven and a
new earth. There was no more sea. Have you and I thought about this?
When we receive something
new, we are excited. We remember our children’s wonderment on Christmas morning
or on their birthdays. I believe the sense of awe of those who witness it will
be far greater than anyone can imagine.
How do you think this new
heaven and earth will appear? How will life be at that time?
