Christian Devotions and Unplugging

Today, one of my devotions is featured on christiandevotions. In it I talk about one of my favorite passages in Isaiah. I invite you to pop over there and see it.

Also, I am going to be unplugged from today until September, 5th Our son is going to be visiting over the Labor Day weekend and we haven’t been together for a while and it will be a while before we will see him again.

  1. Love Isaiah 41:10 - (quoted to me in the doctors office when I was given an unexpected diagnosis).

A family of three, just like me :) Wishing the three of you a special time together creating new memories that will last a lifetime.

    GOD BLESS!

  3. I think we all need to be "unplugged" time and again...it helps us to appreciate our reading and writing time even more when we come back to it...and it gives us time to gather some new "fuel" for future posts. Have a blessed time with your son. I KNOW how precious that time is. Enjoy!

    1. I managed to be more productive today than I had been in about two and a half weeks. I learned a lesson here.

    1. I thoroughly enjoyed having time with our son. The time he had to leave to get to the Indy airport was sort of a downer. He got back out there safely.

  5. Hi, Cecelia:

I read your devotion. I went to school with a lady who struggled with seasonal affective disorder. She had a lamp in her apartment that radiated a light similar to the rays of the sun, or that is what I remember her saying. She said it was effective. Thought I'd pass that along in case you had not tried that particular treatment.

Thank you for the encouraging words in your devotional! I read your response to Karen above and am glad you and your family enjoyed your time together.

    Be well,

    Janette
