The Lord Blesses

“The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.
 Ps. 29:11 (NIV)

“The Lord. . .” We call Him Father, King, and Savior. He protects us from ourselves, from our sin. We,his children, are thankful for all He does for us.

“. . . gives . . .” God gave us His Son. That Son gave his life in order to save us from our sins. We return thanks and worship Him for all He gives us.

“. . . strength . . .” The Father gives us power to go forward in our spiritual lives. He grants us the ability to stand for Him.

“. . . his people . . .” We are His children. God gave us this privilege of His own Will. He gave us His Son so that we might know about Him and His ways.
“. . . blesses . . .” bestows gifts, grants goodness, and lavishes love onto all those who follow Him.

“. . . peace . . .” the absence of strife, His presence when all around us is chaos.
The Lord blesses us each day. He gives us strength for each day.

  1. So happy today to know that it's true...the Lord gives strength to His people! (And I'll take a side of peace, too, as you've ably highlighted.) :)

    1. Rhonda: Thank you for your kind words. If didn't have the Lord, I would be a total basket case, reacting to everything that comes down the pike. I thank the Lord for his saving grace.

  2. I'm very thankful to be called a child of the King, one of His people. I don't have to do life by myself, and that's great news!

  3. Hi Cecelia! Love the Irish blessing, so beautiful.

    I need his peace everyday, that is for sure. Life can be awfully messy. But I know he'll help me, just as he will help you too, my good friend.

    Happy Thursday!
