Hymns that speak of peace.

http://imgarcade.com/peace-dove-png.html

As I did research on the topic of peace, I found several hymns written about peace. In the list below are some that I had not heard until the time I wrote this post. However ‘Til the Storm Passes By is one of my all-time favorite hymns. I hope you find one that will speak to your hearts.

Peace and Blessings to you and yours.

  2. You listed a lot of my most favorite hymns. The first two I'm not sure if I recognize...sometimes titles are different in different hymnbooks, but I know all the others for certain. I love hymns. They give me peace...

  3. Pam: Thank you for your thoughts. Some of the hymns we sing at church, I don't need to open the hymnal. The words are in my heart.
And, yes, they give me peace as well.

  4. Hi Cecelia! I just did a talk based on the Prayer of St. Francis, "Make me a channel of your peace." How wonderful it would be to be peacemaker, just by being who I am? But it's possible, if I live in God's grace.
    Great songs here too!

  5. Peace is a wonderful thing to sing about, and to meditate on as well. Thanks for sharing this list. Brings back memories of my church when growing up.

    1. Karen: We all want to be at peace with one another and with ourselves. Those who follow Jesus know that we won't have peace in our world until He comes again to live among us.

I would be honored to hear what you think about this.
