But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His
great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made
us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Ephesians. 2:4-5 (NKJV)
We often sing of the mercies of the LORD, but do we
realize how great those mercies are? God loves us when we have been unlovely
when we sin against Him. He does not allow our transgressions to keep Him from
watching over us. Even when we think
there is no way out of the mess we are in, God loves us and guides us through until
we reach safety.
God does this out of his vast store of grace for us, His
children. When we go to Him and tell Him we are sorry for our sin, He instantly
exercises His grace and forgives us.
His love is that great, that boundless. It is eternal.
We are SO loved by our Heavenly Father...that even before we were born, Christ died for us. While we were yet in our sins, Christ died for us. God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life! Amen. (John 3:16).
ReplyDeletePam: It's been frigid cold and lots of snow up here. Yes, we are very much loved by our Heavenly Father. When we stop and consider that All we have came from Him, we are blessed. Peace and blessing to you and yours.
