God’s Kindness and His Mercy

quiet spirit

For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts, and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward men appeared, not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:3-5 (NKJV)

When God chooses to extend His kindness and love, He exercises His mercy toward us who are sinners. He does so through the Holy Spirit. None of us are worthy of His love but it is because of His mercy that God extends them to us.

During these times of upheaval in our nation and our world, we must rely on the kindness of God to allow us to keep calm in the light of the circumstances that cause great anxiety in our daily lives.

God will guide us through these difficult times, whether they are international, national, or even personal in scope. We must accept His kindness and love to be able to be “more than conquerors.” In today’s world. It is only then that we are able to rise above the circumstances that vex us.

  1. Oh Cecelia, our hearts cry for everything that is happening in your country... although the European continent is not exempt of trouble either. God keeps extending His love and mercy to a world that rejects Him, because He is patient and does not want that anyone should perish. Hard to believe, but so true!

  2. So thankful for the Holy Spirit, who continues to fill us with His love and strength so that we can be overcomers in this world. There is so much evil going on around us, we need the Lord to comfort and guide us through the mess more and more each day. Praise God, He is always there for us just when we need Him most. Thank you for this encouraging post.
