Mr. Tozer taught me how to pray in a new way. He wrote that we should seek to know God and His way of looking at the conditions that we would normally request and ask Him to act on. In other words, the dynamics of our prayer lives have to change. He tells me we need to have the eyes of God in order to understand His ways.

We need to realize that prayer should be “in harmony with ascending into the presence of God in such a way that separates us from the world.” (p.17) As we pray this should be our aim.

I received a new way of praying for the needs of those on my prayer list and for those hurt by disease or by careless words spoken in haste by others.

I would recommend this book to anyone who believes they need to find a closer connection to God through prayer.
