For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, and godly lives in this present age.
Titus 2:11-12 (NIV)
When we turn over our hearts and lives to Jesus, He gives us His Father’s grace to guide us through our lives. We receive salvation and so much more.
We receive the strength to stand against the worldly ungodliness that, from time to time, we have to face. Yes, as I read this scripture believers can say “No” to the worldly things.
The grace of God teaches us that we can manage in this world when we trust in the Holy Spirit to utilize self-control through Him and live lives pleasing to God before our neighbors and those we see where we do business.
I believe it is
important that each follower of Jesus must strive to get closer to
God and model our beliefs to those around us. However, I do not say
this is easy to do. We have to rely on the Holy
Spirit to guide
us through the roadblocks that life throws in our way.
We must give the Holy Spirit complete control if we wish to live lives pleasing to God.
