“Be strong in the Lord.” Ephesians 6:10
From time to time I find myself distracted from events at hand and have to deal with ‘issues’ that appear out of nowhere. Sometimes, this detour affects my prayer life.
The scenario goes like this: Something happens causing me to realign my daily activities. Usually something arises that causes added stress.
At one point in my life I made a conscious effort to tell the Lord that I turned the day He gave me back over to Him. One day I did this and we wound up buying a second car. It actually took all day. When my husband’s sister had a medical procedure cause a physical issue last spring, my daily schedule became altered for a few weeks. When we receive guidance from one of the agencies that helped her, not only my time will be used differently but my husband’s and a couple of her friends.
I have learned that I can still pray when I have these interruptions to my daily activities.
I’m glad God loves me enough to guide me through these unusual sections of my life. I am thankful He told me He is with me and He is my God (Isaiah 41:10.)

Oh, I love this post, Cecelia! You are a great example of trusting the Lord rather than trying to lead ourselves through life.
