Deliverance and Light

“You, who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them from the hands of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.” Psalm 97:10-11 (NKJV)

The psalmist directs those who love the Lord to hate evil. We then read that God preserves the souls of those who He has set apart for His works. We are told, God keeps safe those who follow Him.

God doesn’t allow His children to reside in darkness. He leads them through those difficult times into the realm of His light. He injects gladness into the souls of those who have clean pure hearts.

We have to rely on God protecting us in this 21st Century. We see and hear of things that break our hearts. Can we imagine what these events do to God’s? All we can do is pray for those who are victims and ask Him to guide their families through their time of grief.
