Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. Psalm 66:8-9 (ESV)

Bless our God, O peoples
We are to bless God, the people of every nation and culture. For some time, I have been attending an ecumenical women’s group here in my city. The group is made up of women of two races. The singing and prayers are wonderful.

let the sound of his praise be heard
We are to give praise aloud because He has granted us life. I heard an adage: Our lives are God’s gift to us. What we make of them is our gift to Him. When we live our life following His will and not ours, we can praise Him for even the most insignificant part of our lives.

and has not let our feet slip.

He tries to impress upon us the need to stay on the path he has chosen for us. However, He does give us free will to follow His leading. As we go about our lives, we can either accept Him or reject Him When we surrender our will to Him, we receive many blessings for which we are to praise Him. He will keep us safe.

  1. I love the sound of His praises as we worship together. The ecumenical group sounds very lovely. I would enjoy that. I love that when we stay on God's path He will not let our feet slip. He will keep us safe and in line with His plans. We just need to stay focused on Him. Thank you for this wonderful passage today.
