Let Us Remember!

We should NEVER forget those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Sometime today, stop and say a prayer of thanksgiving for them and for their families that also gave up a lot in order for us to have the freedom we enjoy.

  1. Amen! So thankful for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We owe them so much that we cannot repay. But we need to always remember their sacrifice and never ever take our freedom for granted.
    God Bless America.

    1. I spent yesterday thinking about the brother of a friend of my uncle's. Raymond was killed in Vietnam. He was a career Marine. When the traveling Vietnam Memorial was in our city. A friend from church and I went to see it. I remember going up to the people who could find the information of the location of the servicemembers and asking where his name was. While I did not know Raymond, I felt sad for his brother and their family.

  2. Maybe we realize it now more than ever, freedom is not free. Jesus paid a high price for our spiritual freedom. Soldiers paid a high price for physical freedom. If it wasn't for the allied forces during WWII, I dont know where we would be now.

    1. For several generations,my ancestors defended our freedom. My grandpa was in Europe during WW 1. My dad was in the US Marine Corps during WW ll and Korea. My husband was in the US Navy. The ship he was on took part in the Cuban Missle Blockade. When we were in Pennsylvania one summer, he had on his hat that showed the ship he served on. A woman heard him say something about being on one of the ships that was in that blockade. Her comment was: "You are a part of history." I a proud of my family members who served in the armed forces. Our son works for the Department of Veteran Affairs. Proud of him as well. Peace and blessings.
