We Must be Faithful

iO.wp.com

This is a faithful saying:

For if we died with Him,

We shall also live with Him.

If we endure,

We shall also reign with Him.

If we deny Him,

He will deny us.

If we are faithless,

He remains faithful;

He cannot deny Himself.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 (NKJV)

Paul wrote these words to Timothy. This was his last letter he would write. Paul knew he would die.

Paul gives words of encouragement to Timothy to stay close to God. These words are especially important to followers of Christ today. We see people who followed Christ in their youth go their own ways and get tripped up by the enemy. We have at least two generations that seem to have denied Christ. We must endure for His sake. We must not deny Him. God is faithful; we must be faithful to Him.

Each of us must re-dedicate our lives to live for Jesus, to stand for what He has taught us.

  1. Sadly the younger generation is not having as much godly influence in their lives as we did. The schools are totally anti-Christian, and so is our government anymore. If the parents are not strong believers, the children won't have any opportunity to know Christ. All the more reason for those of us who do believe to let our lights shine in the darkness so that others will see Jesus living in us.

  2. Pam: Thank you for your thoughts. I am afraid it has gotten worse than that. A lot of preachers are preaching things that go against what the Bible says. We who believe in Jesus have to stand firm for Him.

  3. Amen. Two of our three daughters have walked away from the Lord. I continue to call on Him to draw them back to Himself. And I'm beginning to see evidence of it! We serve a great and mighty God!

  4. Cindy: Thank you for stopping by. We do have to call on Him to draw people to Himself. Our only son (child) had mobility issues and had a difficult time finding work. But God has been good and directed him to a position he has had for 11 1/2 years. Peace and blessings to you and yours.

I would be honored to hear what you think about this.
