It is a new year! We welcome it into existence.
What has God planned for this new year? Only He knows.
All we can do is trust in Him and obey Him. A hymnist tells us there is no
other way.
Each year, I sit at my computer and make out writing
plans for the twelve months. Due to my humanity, I forget those plans. In 2020,
I did search for outlets for my writing. I plan to make a better effort to be
more diligent in this.
Word for 2021
In selecting my word for this year, I considered many
terms. As I understand the idea behind doing this, I know the chosen word is
one that I believe will guide me through the upcoming year. My word for 2021 is
Abide.
My choice of this word is based on the thought that I
will need to live close to God in this coming year. I do not know what God
has in store for me and my family, but I want to remain in His will, whatever
comes across my path.
Peace and Blessings in this New Year to each of you and
your families.

Blessings to you in your new word to `Abide` in Him, and may it be a very fruitful year for you in your writing plans , blessings for your family and your health, and all the joys at His right Hand that He has for you in this year as you abide in Him and in His Love!!!♡
ReplyDeleteShayndel: So nice to hear from you. I am almost fully recovered from abdominal surgery. I wish the weather would cooperate so I can get out and get a few things taken care of. Thank you for your wishes for me and my word for 2021. Peace anb blessings.
DeleteAbide... what a beautiful word for 2021 Cecelia, I love it. Staying close to Him, with Him and by Him. I have not yet received my #oneword for 2021, praying about it. Happy and healthy New year to you, keep blogging!
ReplyDeleteMarja: Thank you for the encouragement to stay close by Him and with Him.God is good in so many ways. Peace and blessings.
DeletePerfect word for 2021! I chose "Simplify." Already, after I took down the decorations from my closet doors, I can concentrate better when I pace and pray in there each morning.
ReplyDeleteJeanette: "Simplify" is a good word. I wish you well with your thoughts on and interactions with it. That would be a challenge for me. Peace and blessings to you and yours.
DeleteAbide is a wonderful word. I love the imagery it evokes in my mind...abiding in Christ, close to His side, under His wings I am safely abiding...a place of safety and protection from the world. A place of peace and comfort. I like that word. I am sure God will bless you with His abiding Presence in this new year. My word is "Believe". I am not sure exactly where that will take me either, but it was actually a part of three thoughts, Believe, Obey, and Possible...all things are possible with God...when we believe Him and obey Him! That is where my thoughts were and are. We shall see how the Lord leads us both in this new year. I know it will be to a good place. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeletePam: Thank you for the hugs. Although I can get out some, I have chosen not to due to the weather. Jim is not getting out like he used to, to much pain in his right arm and shoulder. I need to get out and get our son's birthday stuff bought and sent to him. He knows what has gone on for us lately. I'm sure he will be understanding when it's late. Peace and blessings to you and yours.
